Ed Dunlop is operating at an impressive strike rate over the past fortnight and Society Lion is a leading contender here. His overall profile this year is positive and he arrives on the back of a narrow defeat at Newmarket, for which he's been raised an acceptable 3lb. Sir Oliver finished right out the back last time at Newbury but is perfectly capable on grass and had also been in good form on the all-weather prior to that low-key effort. He's a danger if bouncing back. Money for Pearle D'or would be significant but SHADES OF SUMMER is the choice. She's only had one run on turf but went close on that occasion and is an admirably consistent filly. This return to six furlongs is likely to suit too. Mellys Flyer is also respected and his last run at Chester is easily forgiven.
