A big field for us here but it should pay to side with Caribbean Dancer, who can outpoint Lola Sapola and Manic. The selection made a marked improvement at the third time of asking last time out, when a three-and-a-half length second to kindling over nine furlongs at Musselburgh. The drop back to a mile is not certain to suit, but the soft ground here will clearly help bring more stamina in to play and as the filly seemed to like that last time out then there is every reason to suggest that she can progress again here and score. Lola Sapola is also drawn low here and comes into the race in decent form, which has meant that she is at the top of this particular handicap. She will get every inch of this trip, but on what we have seen she would prefer much quicker ground and for that reason is opposed. Of the remainder, Manic is fit and firing, having taken a Wolverhampton maiden last month and then putting up a decent effort in defeat on heavy ground at Nottingham last time. This step up in trip may just be a little too far at this stage, though she is sure to want this after another winter on her back. Nevertheless we expect a good run again, but our idea of the winner is Caribbean Dancer.
