      Verdict

      ALSIMSAAM, a son of Dark Angel, made a very promising start at Lingfield. Very coltish on his way to the start, he ran green in the race itself but was making ground hand over first in the closing stages and beaten under a length. With that experience under his belt, he should go one better here unless newcomer Dark Vision proves to be above standard. The latter is a half-brother to 1m2f winner, however, so may need further. Rita's Folly was third on debut at Goodwood but that was on soft going, though she does get a fillies allowance.
