STAR TWILIGHT gets the nod here ahead of Black Baccara, Rosetta Hill and Annia Galeria. Derek Shaw's filly ran better than her odds suggested she would at Nottingham when last seen in June, finishing third behind Perfect Blossom at 40/1. That horse has since franked the form irrefutably and if all is well after her two month break she might prove a hard nut to crack. Final Turn is dropping down the handicap but probably not as quick as connections would like, Black Baccara's run here last time may get franked earlier in the card by the winner and she is respected in first-time blinkers, whilst French Fantasy has been a bit hit and miss but her best run came for today's jockey Jimmy Quinn when the pair teamed up at Chepstow. Rebecca Romero's second to Lutine Bell in the visor is solid enough and the headgear remains on this evening, Rosetta Hill is unexposed and shaped with more promise at Nottingham last time out, whilst Annia Galeria is consistent and the handicapper has given her a chance by dropping her 3lbs for her recent Warwick effort. Nothing else leaps off the page so we are happy to return to Star Twilight as the selection.
