Another decent little heat with King Solar setting the standard. Richard Hannon's charge was found out by the rain-softened ground at Newmarket and will find this faster surface more to his liking. He may have most to fear from But Of Course, who shaped with plenty of promise behind subsequent winner Apex Star at Leicester. That form is beginning to look pretty solid as not only the winner has scored again since, but also Balin's Sword, who was fourth that day, going on to land some tasty bets at Chepstow.
