In depth

Verdict

Allerford Jack continues to defy the handicapper and claimer Michael Nolan has ridden him to victory in his last two starts. But he's taking on better opposition now and, 9lb higher than when successful over 2m4f here last week, may be vulnerable against less-exposed types. CADDIE MASTER hasn't raced since making a winning start over fences over C&D at the start of June but beat a decent field that day and fitness is unlikely to be an issue given connections. He can score again despite giving weight to Cartmel winner Nodforms Violet and the Philip Hobbs' pair Calusa Caldera and Magic Marmalade. Rossbrin is still 18lb higher than his sole win over fences.
