Black Anshan impressed last time over this course and distance and is fancied to defy a penalty; Good Citizen and Be Telling look the dangers. The last-named needs watching in the betting from the moment the bookies price up in the morning as there was a big gamble landed on one of Sean Curran's at the track last week, however Black Anshan is improving all the time and can win again. It was no great race that he won last time but he did it with authority and this unexposed former pointer is taken to win today on ground that suits. Good Citizen impressed when winning at Market Rasen recently but that was over a shorter trip and he needs to prove both an ability to act on this ground and also his stamina for this trip. John Fenton is a fairly able point-to-pointer, whilst High Ball and Matt The Thrasher are both capable of better than we have seen recently and a visor may work on the latter. A fair contest with a bit of dead wood, and Black Anshan can sweep them aside.
