MR ROBERT is the pick in a wide open affair with Romantic Bridge and Converti likely to take a hand. The former Noel Meade inmate appears to have thrived since joining Evan Williams and while handicaps look a tough proposition due to his current BHA rating, he will be a far better betting proposition taking rivals on under penalties. Romantic Bridge failed to oblige for David Arbuthnot. It will be interesting to see if there is any interest now he makes a debut for Tim Vaughan. Converti stays three miles with few stamina issues. His record with give in the ground is not so promising. Captain Crackers was well supported to win a seller at Southwell. He was fully entitled to win that race on the figures though this is a different kettle of fish entirely. Starlight Air won a maiden hurdle at the course earlier in the month and was not unbacked in the ring. Vivarini has yet to build upon the promise shown in bumpers thus far whilst Willies Girl was a scorer in an Irish point over three miles and is now making a debut under rules for the Scudamores. Mr Robert gets the nod.
