Kadam, On The Outside and Althrey Dandy look the three to concentrate on in this novices' chase and the vote is given to Kadam. The 5-year-old from the Paul Nicholls yard is making his chasing debut here and he looks well treated on the pick of his form over hurdles. He is sure to have been well-schooled for this and with Ruby Walsh in the plate he is difficult to oppose. On The Outside won well over this course and distance last time but she was flattered by the margin of her victory as her chief rival had a fatal fall at the last to leave her a distance clear of the rest of the field. The fact that only three horse finished the race means the form is difficult to evaluate and although she has obvious claims we prefer Kadam today. Althrey Dandy is an out-and-out stayer and will relish every yard of this trip, but he fell last time time and he may be seen to better effect over further. Harbour Bound would have claims if he is ready to do himself justice on his chasing debut, but he has been off the track since October and may just need the run. We are therefore happy to stick with Kadam who looks the one they all have to beat.
