led until headed over 2f out and soon weakened
held up, headway with 2f out to chase leaders, not quicken over 1f out, one pace
towards rear, headway 3f out, stayed on under pressure final 2f, not reach leaders
started slowly, soon in mid-division, ridden over 3f out, no progress weakened 2f out
held up, headway over 2f out, ridden to chase winner over 1f out, stayed on not pace to challenge
held up, wide into straight 4f out, soon ridden, never near leaders
held up in touch, effort over 2f out, weakened over 1f out
behind, stayed on under pressure from over 1f out, never nearer
tracked leader over 9f, soon beaten
close up, effort inside final 2f, ridden and one pace from over 1f out
held up in touch, headway to lead over 2f out, ran on well, pushed out
always towards rear, struggling over 3f out
started slowly, held up behind, headway wide 3f out, kept on under pressure and not reach leaders
started slowly, always behind
held up behind, never a factor
Joey Perhaps, Seattle Robber and Platinum Dancer look the most promising contenders in the opener with vote going to the last named. Platinum Dancer is looking for his hat-trick after his wins at Warwick and Mussselburgh where he was most impressive when beating Kyle Of Lochalsh by five lengths going away. He makes a quick reappearance here and if not suffering from that last effort two days ago and if recovering from jet lag he will go close again. Joey Perhaps won over course and distance last time out in a thirteen runner handicap and has obvious claims as does Seattle Robber who was unable to challenge in a similar contest over course and distance on his latest run but was not discredited to finish fourth on that occasion. So for the winner we return to Platinum Dancer.
