In depth

Verdict

There may well be more to come from Caveat Emptor over hurdles. Commander Miller’s second here last month was a significant improvement and Akkapenko could be interesting receiving weight all round. But SHANKSFORAMILLION (NAP) just appeared to run out of steam over 2m7f here last month. He won three times over course and distance in 2017 and is 4lb lower than the last of those victories so must have decent claims today. Oldabbey Bridge bids to follow up his Uttoxeter victory off a 6lb higher mark while North Star Oscar was readily brushed aside off this mark at Stratford after scoring at Ffos Las.
