MISAMON has been in good form in steeplechases over the past couple of months and Kapborg has to be respected from a yard with a 16% strike-rate here whilst Rince Donn may offer some value as an each-way bet. Although the selection weakened when last seen over the hurdles at this course, two miles looks to be a better bet for David Rees' gelding and he can follow up on his latest win at Southwell. Perhaps the only concern regarding the pick is that he was sixteen lengths behind the winner when last seen here, but a better run can be expected and we forgive him for that poor run three starts ago. Kapborg was a long way behind Tin Pot Man at Newton Abbot last month but she is a half-sister to a French hurdle winner and given she is one of the younger ones in the field, she may deliver an improved try today. Rince Donn has only won one hurdle contest from twenty starts but may be at an advantage if the conditions change towards softer ground. Golden Square is a previous course and distance winner, but in this contest we give the vote to Misamon.
