Ross Comm can beat From Dawn To Dusk, with Lord Nellson, Seymour Weld and Chamacco others in with a shout. Ross Comm paid his way over fences last term, scoring five times in all before falling in the John Smith's Grand National at Aintree, after which he was given a well earned break. Sue Smith starts him off over timber, and as he is undoubtedly much better treated than over the larger obstacles, a big run is anticipated prior to him going chasing again. From Dawn To Dusk has yet to jump a fence in public but that is the route that he will no doubt take soon, but judged on his emphatic success over timber at Huntingdon in May, it is not a surprise to see him take in another similar contest before the handicapper makes Philip Hobbs's mind up for him. Seymour Weld will appreciate this drop in distance, having failed to see out three miles here last time, but his wins have been gained in selling grade so he has more on his plate here. Chamacco will be all the better for his reappearance at Market Rasen but is another with plenty to do, and we feel that the well-handicapped Ross Comm has a lot going for him today.
