Only a small field but highly competitive handicap hurdle in which Wee Danny, Cloth Of Gold, Rudi Knight and St. Matthew all enter calculations with the vote going to the last named. St. Matthew reverts back to hurdles after beating Gumley Gale over fences here last time out. That win has not affected his hurdle mark but he has been raised three pounds for finishing a good second prior to that over two and a half miles and is taken to go one better today. Wee Danny has not won since October of last year but has been running with credit of late and can fill in the place positions as can Cloth Of Gold who is relatively lightly raced but has been knocking on the door of late and should stay this trip. But for the winner we return to St. Matthew.
