An ordinary maiden can go to Flamboyant Lad, who sets the standard on what those with experience have achieved to date and gets the nod over stablemates One So Marvelous and New York City, who both make plenty of appeal on pedigree to be effective at this trip. Look Again also catches the eye out of those that have yet to race and the usual monitoring of the betting is recommended with regard to this son of Zilzal. The facts that he has already been gelded and has not made it on to a racecourse until now, do suggest that he may not have been the easiest horse to get ready and a watching brief is probably the best policy with him this afternoon. Dundry has shown signs of temperament already and needs to post an improved effort this afternoon. That is not to say that he is not without ability though, as he did well to get so close after unseating his rider before the start last time, and was not disgraced in finishing third to an interesting debutante of Marcus Tregoning's. However, Flamboyant Lad has also got better with each of his three previous outings - the best of which came when he was forced to race wide all the way round at Newmarket last month. Given plenty of time to get over the run, Flamboyant Lad looks tailor-made for an event of this nature and, as Articulation boosted his headquarters form in good style on his latest start, the portents look good as we anticipate another bold show from Barry Hills' charge.
