chased leader, ridden to lead over 1f out, headed and not quicken close home
chased leaders, ridden when carried left 1f out, stayed on same pace
chased leaders, ridden halfway, no extra inside final furlong
slowly into stride, behind, headway and switched left over 1f out, ran on to lead close home
led, ridden and headed over 1f out, soon weakened

Paddywack has been consistent enough lately to warrant support, with Foley Millennium, Catch The Cat and Maddie's A Jem all likely dangers. A fairly wide-open finale may see Paddywack add another success to his long list of credits, and David Chapman's seven-year-old has every chance of doing so, both from a handicapping point of view, and also judged on his latest effort when he came through from off the pace to finish third to Trojan Flight at Beverley. The finish here is not as daunting and under Tony Culhane, he can bounce back. Foley Millennium has been in good form all season, and will appreciate the drop back in trip after fading at Lingfield last time. Catch The Cat finished in mid-division at Pontefract a fortnight ago but the form has been franked since so he is another to consider, while Maddie's A Jem ran a blinder at Goodwood when caught in the closing stages and is another that might benefit from the slightly shorter journey. In what could be a fast and furious finish to proceedings, Paddywack gets the vote.
