In depth

Verdict

FIERCE WARRIOR was arguably a little disappointing when fifth of ten on bumper debut after being supported into joint favouritism. That is the only form of note available here and it may be worth offering the son of Sholokhov a second chance on this better ground. His yard has a fine record in such contests and he's the only runner on the card for Henderson and de Boinville. The market should help to sort out the newcomers to some extent but Jonjo O'Neill has his string in fine form at present and therefore Ted's Gift makes appeal as a threat, along with Jongleur D'etoiles for Neil Mulholland, David Pipe's Call Her Clever, who is immediately fitted with a hood and tongue tie, and Onewaywest who has plenty of staying blood in his pedigree for Ben Pauling.
