Wise Tale can make the most of the weight that he receives from Almnadia, with Dante's Battle worth a mention. Wise Tale finally justified the faith that trainer Peter Niven had in him when scoring at Market Rasen ten days ago, and as he was not entirely unfancied, may be open to enough improvement to follow up. In receipt of a stone and a half from Almnadia, he gets a great chance of following up over a rival who was gaining her first win for nearly two years off a fair hurdles mark at Uttoxeter. She will find life tougher again as the handicapper responds, and is worth taking on here. Dante's Battle, successful in a weak claimer at Wetherby in May, had a spin on the fibresand at Southwell recently but finished stone last and at the age of 12, does not have the scope to improve. The much younger Wise Tale surely has a few more wins in the tank, and should go close here.
