A large field goes to post for the first on the card but on closer inspection not many can be given a serious chance of winning and the principals look to be Alpha Nova, Kaikovra and Cliquey and we will take a chance on Alpha Rose. The six year old was a fair fourth on his debut behind Mythical King. He is fit from the flat and with the faster ground sure to suit he will be hard to beat. Kaikovra rates the main danger on his latest third behind My Legal Eagle but he finds very little close home and may fine one or two close home. Cliquey is a six furlong winner on the flat from a shrewd yard and if his stamina lasts out he would have definite place claims. Of the the remainder Crystal Brook is from a a yard in form and is worth noting in the market but we are happy to side with Alpha Rose.
