Kheleyf created a favourable impression when making a winning debut at York and, although having to settle for second place (in the Norfolk Stakes) last time, looks open to improvement and should be too good for the likes of Golden Sahara and Autumn Pearl. The last mentioned represents the stable of Michael Jarvis that has had phenomenal success with their two-year-old runners this term and has to be respected, especially as the horse she beat last time Overdrawn has since franked the form in nurseries. Golden Sahara was Godolphin's first juvenile winner of the season when scoring at Yarmouth on his debut and remains unexposed but preference is for Kheleyf. David Loder's colt lost no caste in defeat behind Russian Valour at the royal meeting and, with the slightly longer trip likely to suit, he is fancied to return to winning ways. Last time out winners Millbag and Imperial Echo have both shown ability but lack the class of Kheleyf, who should be too good for his rivals.
