Young Dude may well make a winning debut here, with Nocturnally, Original Thought and Old Ginger worth more than a second glance. Jonjo O'Neill is out to make up for lost time after his disastrous season, and he can normally be relied on to have one ready in this sphere. Young Dude is well enough related on the dam's side, as she hails from the family of decent Irish hurdler Liss A Paoraigh, and Scottish National winner Baronet, and with Tony McCoy up, he gets the vote to make a winning debut. Nocturnally was sent off as favourite on his Wincanton debut, but this 67,000gns purchase could only finish third after being outpaced in the straight. He will come on for the run though and should be in the shake-up. Original Thought has been placed in both starts to date and with his claimer taking off seven-pounds, will appeal to each-way backers. Old Ginger's trainer normally produces them fit in bumpers as well, so he may put up a bold show, but not as bold as Young Dude who is taken to go in first time.
