In depth

Verdict

Former hunter chaser Joint Account has been a revelation since stepped into handicap company but has paid the penalty as a result with a stiff rise in the weights following a hat-trick of successes. He now looks in the handicapper's grip. Harfdecent is probably better over shorter while Haydn James would not want any further rain. Khatani does not appear well treated and with Wrens Island facing a near impossible task from 9lbs wrong in the weights the best solution to a tricky contest could be General Claremont. A consistent chaser, the gelding looked unlucky at Uttoxeter last time and, provided there is no further rain, he should go close.
