An ultra competitive novice handicap hurdle greets us here and with slight concerns about his fitness after a long break around Castlemore, we instead side with WINGED ARROW; Ossmann is also interesting. The selection benefited for having Tony McCoy doing the steering when putting in an improved effort to narrowly miss out at Market Rasen last time. The champion returns for the ride again and although up an extra two pounds for that run he is still off a competitive mark and acts well on this ground. We haven't seen Castlemore since he placed in a handicap chase off this mark. That was the end of a string of solid results and he looks really fairly treated on the pick of his old hurdles form. Ossmann has been off the racecourse for even longer, 571 days, but signed off with a win in a handicap chase. He's 3lbs worse off here but must be respected as trainer Tom George and jockey Sam Thomas team up for the first time. Chuquicamata, has failed to complete his last two starts but is unexposed enough to put in a decent performance and the booking of Aidan Coleman looks a positive but with his form so patchy we side with Winged Arrow.
