Summer Stock has the best overall form, and unless one of the newcomers is anything special, John Supple's charge should prove to be the answer, with Mexican Rock worth noting in the market. This class F maiden should not take too much winning and Summer Stock must surely make a bold bid to open his account after a string of placed efforts so far. His last outing over timber was when third to Don Valentino at Doncaster in December 2003, but even if not spot on here, that form alone entitles him to be favourite. Mexican Rock comes from a top yard and looks a viable each-way alternative given that he took on the useful Tinoveritas at Exeter in April. Of the rest, Ricardo's Chance makes most appeal on his jumping debut. He at least has fitness on his side and should run well, but providing he handles the faster ground today, Summer Stock should take the beating on his return to the fray.
