In depth

Verdict

Max O, a winning pointer, made the expected improvement switched to fences at Market Rasen and could make further progress now visored. Midnight Gem finally came good at Southwell but will not find it easy to follow up off a 5lb higher mark. BOY IN A BENTLEY was knocking on the door off much higher marks at the end of last year. He’s been less impressive since returning from a break but can’t get much lower in the weights and should be winning a race like this. Perpignan could also figure but the others have some improving to do.
