Verdict

A competitive opener in which Surf And Turf must be checked in the market like so many of his stablemates when returning from an absence to operate on better ground. ALWAYSTHEOPTIMIST was never in danger on the 10-year-old's chasing debut here and although harshly treated off topweight he looked a natural that day and might just be good enough to follow-up. He's just preferred to Sparville, a Ffos Las faller latest but previously a decisive scorer from Fiftyonefiftyone at Southwell. Stormy Oscar should struggle to reverse recent placings with the selection despite being better off now whilst Accessallareas continues to deliver a strong performance level despite being hit hard for two successes and a solid runner-up effort last time.
