A decent contest in which Prince Sorinieres is taken to prevail at the expense of Percy Parkeeper, Favoured Option and Brereton. Martin Pipe's gelding, a multiple winner in the French provinces, finally opened his account on these shores when getting the better of a battle with Un Jour A Vassy at Exeter. He was behind the same horse at Ludlow last time in the race won by Enrique, but gave his all again, and a similar effort here should be enough. Percy Parkeeper tried to make all against Windross at Stratford, tactics that nearly paid off. He might just set this up for Pipe's charge, while Favoured Option looks held by Prince Sorinieres as well, using Un Jour A Vassy as a yardstick. Brereton appears to be Pipe's second string judged on jockey bookings, but in any case might not have recovered in time from his effort in finishing fourth at Stratford on Friday.
