Despite the large turnout, the trio of Red Canyon, After The Blue and Bracey Run are preferred, with the latter getting the vote. Bracey Run, at 13, is not open to much improvement that's for sure, but has been in fine fettle of late, and is on a very favourable mark these days. His recent third at Southwell came on his first outing since November, and he must surely be involved in the finish. After The Blue has more scope than most but his absence of two days short of a year is a bit off-putting, while Red Canyon also has a long absence to overcome, but is a course and distance scorer. Best of the rest could be Bobsbest, an encouraging second at Ludlow recently.
