A good little juvenile event with some promising types on show but Dancing Lyra is selected to step up on his promising Newbury debut. He was staying on well that day in a very good contest won by Aidan O'Brien's Coventry Stakes hopeful, Grand Parade. On what we know, the dangers would appear to be Milk It Mick, who has solid form and came good at Beverley last time, Brian Meehan's Embassy Lord, who showed promise on his Nottingham debut, and Goblin, who finished a very good third behind Pearl Of Love at Doncaster on his racing bow. Cheverak Forest's win came in a Newcastle claimer.
