RAVI RIVER is selected to land the seller, while Smalljohn and Desert Mile are others to consider. The selection has winning form over track and trip and although not best in at these weights, he is in better form than the most-favoured, Desert Mile. Jim Boyle's runners have been going well of late and with little to find Ravi River can come good again. Smalljohn represents another yard going well, that of Bryan Smart, and this Needwood Blade gelding has two course and distance wins on his CV, one of them being in this grade. Now back on this surface after a short break he can return to form and go close. Despite recent poor form, Desert Mile is still nicely off at these weights with most. He has done all his winning in Ireland over a mile, but Ollie Pears is no mug and we respect the chance of this one. Madame McManus is the sole debutant and her pedigree suggests that she may well be capable of a bold showing, so watch the market for clues, but with a number of others hard to fancy at the weights, we will side with Ravi River.
