A poor contest where GRUDGE can get the better of Decider, Sea Rover and Tongalooma. The last-named won a maiden over course and distance last time and has been allotted a mark of just 56 for this handicap debut. He has a good draw and should again be very competitive. Decider had the better of our selection by quarter-of-a-length when conceding 6lbs to him in a seller here earlier in the month, but with a 5lb pull the Ollie Pears-trained pick has every chance of reversing those placings. The first-time eyeshield may also help to focus his attention on the job-in-hand, which we hope will be winning his second race. Sea Rover is on the same mark as when going close here over 6f last time, so he has claims, although on the negative side is this shorter trip. Exceed Elegance may just about possess enough speed to get competitive, but we will bear with Grudge.
