Secret Return went close to returning a 100/1 winner when beaten only a neck here on her debut. Gustavo Fring was fourth at Lingfield back in April and winners have come out of the race while Delilah Park occupied the same finishing position at Yarmouth in July. De Little Engine has been gelded since placed at Chelmsford last year but COLOURFUL CAREER has the more recent form over a mile at Windsor when fading into third in the closing stages. But he finished well clear of the rest that day and this drop back to 7f seems a logical move for Ed Dunlop’s charge.
