J P McManus has five engaged in this and Barry Geraghty has chosen to ride Spades Are Trumps, who showed real promise on his racecourse debut at Wexford. PALOMA BLUE (NAP) won a Fairyhouse bumper then finished runner-up to Fayonragh in the championship event at Punchestown. He started favourite for his hurdling debut at Naas but made a couple of errors and couldn't cope with the front pair, who both look useful. He can gain his first victory over timber though Athenean looked another bright prospect for hurdling when landing a Punchestown bumper earlier this month. Nannys Well has been running well on the Flat, though at a lowly level, while Nearly Famous landed a 1m2f claimer at Fairyhouse in September and won't mind ground conditions. State Of Nirvana has a cracking pedigree for hurdling and has shown plenty of ability in bumpers so she's respected with her allowances while winning bumper Chess Grand Master is capable of winning at this level.
