In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call here for punters with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look to be Rio Riva,Masquerader and Trifti and the tentative vote is given to Rio Riva. The selection won well last time out when beating Postgraduate and although he has a penalty for that win, the step up in trip is expected to suit and he is taken to win again. Masquerader rates the main danger on his latest second behind Sirce but all his best form is over a longer trip and for that reason he is opposed. Trifti is another that could go well as he won in game fashion last time out when beating indebted but this looks more competitive and he will need to improve again to win off this mark. Del Mar Sunset is game and consistent and is sure to run her race but she continues to rise in the weights for being beaten and for that reason she is opposed. Of the remainder Toshi is from a shrewd yard and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Rio Riva.
