Champagne Shadow showed enough when winning last time out to be able to follow up at the expense of Atlantic Gamble and North Walk. The selection was in winning action at Lingfiled last time out in similar company. He was dropping down in grade on that occasion and has similar conditions today so a repeat performance will see him score again. Atlantic Gamble struck up a hat-trick at Wolverhampton during the winter in selling races. He has since run with credit in handicaps most recently finishing fourth of eleven at Bath in a ladies race. The form has worked out well and with this drop in claiming company he is another horse that deserves respect. As does North Walk who has been put in the race off top claiming price meaning he has to give weight all round. His seasonal reappearence caught the eye when third to the selection Champagne Shadow and he will strip fitter this time around so is one to note. But for the winner the tentative vote goes to Champagne Shadow who we feel has the upper hand by a narrow margin.
