A difficult event to assess without reference to the market so Set The Scene is made a token selection ahead of Dolce Dovo and Voice. The selection is a well bred individual and caught the eye on introduction at Lingfield. The step up in trip looks sure to suit and the booking of Jimmy Fortune rates a major positive. Dolce Dovo was a beaten favourite on British debut. She made a habit of finding one too good during her Irish career and will be the yardstick by which this maiden is judged. Voice always faced an uphill task against decent opposition and is tried at a more realistic level on Saturday evening. Cosmodrome is watched in the market for any signs of confidence. Memorata is likely to improve for a first run but can never be discounted given Roger Charlton's recent form. Ravarino could be open to improvement. A fair maiden in which Set The Scene is recommended.
