In depth
Verdict
The first division of a poor contest which makes little appeal as a betting medium but Sal's Gal appears to have solid claims if putting her best foot forward. Nick Littmoden's mare came late to land a course and distance claimer last month and has had her excuses since. The daughter of Efisio faced no easy task in a handicap next time and could never land a blow from a wide berth in a seller last time out but is fancied to bounce back from a more favourable draw today. Prima Stella is well treated by the race conditions but has been well below her best of late and looks worth opposing in her current form while Double Oscar is a light of former days and is best watched on his return from a six-month absence. Mr Stylish ran as though something was amiss last time but has place claims on his selling win at Southwell in November.
