Verdict

A poor event that should take little winning can go to ex-Irish performer Foolish Thoughts. Formerly in the care of Dermot Weld, this beautifully-bred three-year-old showed useful form in maidens over this trip before a below par effort in testing conditions on his final start in late August. The son of Green Desert would be giving plenty of weight to all of his rivals here and it will be disappointing if he cannot take advantage of this opportunity on his British bow for new connections. Dancing Forest will appreciate the return to this trip after a staying-on third over 5f here last week and is also entitled to be sharper for the outing so rates a danger. Effective failed to stay over 7f last time but has claims on a close second over course and distance last month while Indian Maiden faced a stiffish task last time but has place claims at this level if reproducing her best.
