It could pay to take a chance on LITTLE RICHARD and he is taken to prevail at the main expense of Kames Park and Oriental Cavalier. The selection is fully exposed but there is little doubt that he would have a big chance on the pick of his form. His last couple of runs have been a bit disappointing but he did win a couple of races this time last year and he is back on a fair mark. Reg Hollinshead and Graham Gibbons both do well here so Oriental Cavalier could be of interest. He needs to dominate to be seen at his best so if he can get an easy lead then he could be hard to catch. Barbirolli's sole all-weather success came over this course and distance but the percentage call is to take him on as he has failed to win in 13 other attempts. Kames Park is a course and distance winner and he arrives here on the back of a winning effort at Kempton. He won with plenty in hand that day and he is still well treated so it could be dangerous to look elsewhere. However, Little Richard could provide a bit of value and he is put forward as the pick.
