Stonecrabstomorrow is bound to be popular following an encouraging debut second behind Overwing at Lingfield last week and has to be considered but Paul Cole's colt is likely to be plenty short enough and a chance is taken with one of many newcomers Siwa, who is preferred to Heaven Knows and Jakeini. The last two mentioned both have the benefit of previous experience and finished fourth and fifth respectively behind Makfly in the soft at Doncaster last time so are worthy of respect on their all-weather debuts. James Fanshawe is more than capable of producing one to win first time out and his representative Kartikeya is bred to handle this surface, while Star Crowned comes from the in-form yard of Brian Meehan and is another that is bred to handle the sand. Karl Burke's Key Of Luck filly Miss Lopez is another worthy of consideration but the vote goes to Siwa, who takes the eye on pedigree, hails from a stable in good heart and would not need to be out of the ordinary to take this on her debut.
