The trio for the shortlist are SPIC 'N SPAN, Sir Geoffrey and Bookiesindex Boy with the vote given to the first mentioned. Ron Harris has had his fair share of winners this month and Spic 'n Span can keep the momentum going. He won at Southwell last time when he beat Monte Major in comfortable fashion and he looks one to stay on the right side of at present. Sir Geoffrey was returning from a break at Kempton earlier in the month so he should strip fitter for that outing, but he has shown all his best form at that track and his overall strike-rate is far from impressive. Bookiesindex Boy hasn't won for 14 months but he is definitely on a fair mark at present and if he is in the mood then he could run a big race. Lucky Art would have claims on the pick of his turf form, but he has yet to be even placed in three starts on the all-weather. Spic 'n Span makes most appeal and gets the vote.
