L'Oiseau De Feu is selected ahead of Sir Sandicliffe and Milla's Rocket. The last named has done very little wrong in her last three starts and it is highly probable that Kevin Ryan can force a win out of her before too long. The daughter of Galileo may need a touch further to be seen at her best though and it would be interesting to see how she fares over middle distances after this. Sir Sandicliffe looks exposed as ordinary and needs to get his act together quickly. However, the recent switch in stables may have rekindled his interest and he cannot be ruled out in a modest contest such as this. Mizzle is another to bear in mind if backed before the 'off', even though he will be of more interest when handicapped after this his third run. Therefore, on this occasion, L'Oiseau De Feu looks a more logical choice. The son of Stravinsky sets the standard on the official BHB ratings and, after a near miss at Lingfield 19 days ago, this looks the right time for the gelding to prove himself.
