In depth

Verdict

Hurlingham struggled off this mark last time out so is passed over today in favour of Maraca with Sanbuch another to consider. The selection came good when cruising to victory and making his reappearance today, he should be watched for signs of support in the market. The stable are in good form and with the knowledge that he likes the surface, this mark of 76 looks lenient. On the other hand Sanbuch's mark for his handicap debut (84) looks a tad harsh and whilst there is undoubtedly plenty of potential there, he may struggle to concede the weight to the selection. Hurlingham won't mind the step up in trip today and has place claims, along with the consistent pair of The History Boy and Prince Sabaah. In an open contest, watch the market for clues, but Maraca gets our nomination.
