Scottish River is fancied to lower the colours of recent winner Fuel Cell with Lilac Star and Shava two others for the shortlist. Shava has been running consistently well over the winter however he hasn't been shaping as though the step up to this trip will be the answer so he must be opposed. The selection, Scottish River, won well here three days ago and having won off a mark of 70 before, this mark still looks attractive despite a 6lb penalty. He is consistent over this trip and looks the solid option. Orpen Quest was miles behind the selection three days ago and doesn't appear to have nay reasons to fare better today, so of more interest is Fuel Cell. He has been given a mini-break since a facile win at Southwell but he doesn't go as well on this surface so is opposed today. Danettie is a course and distance winner so warrants respect, as does dual performer Mucho Loco who is pretty consistent. Lilac Star is another to consider as he will have come on for his recent run, however Scottish River looks ahead of the handicapper and gets the vote.
