Verdict
A low grade affair in which recent Wolverhampton scorer, Lucid Dreams, is fancied to follow up . The horse benefited from the application of first-time blinkers and a six-pound rise does not look harsh given the manner of his success. Karaoke King was not disgraced behind him last time out and is better off at the weights this time around. He has however had many chances to break his maiden and his supporters patience must be beginning to run thin these days. Noble Locks is likely to lead them here but the petrol has ran out on the last couple of occasions he has tackled this trip and it is now eight months since he visited the winners enclosure. Similarly, Illustrious Duke, who was running off a mark of 74 last season has shown little to enthuse about over the winter. Fact O'The Matter has been given a chance by the handicapper after struggling off a mark of 60. Today represents a step down in class for Michael Blanshard's charge and he should go close under top-weight.
