Padleyourowncanoe ended a long losing run on the Flat with a victory at Lingfield just two days ago and carries only 5lb extra. Master Burbidge gets a change of headgear having found one too good the last twice now while Yamato made a successful trip over from Ireland when scoring over course and distance in October, though is 12lb higher today. Dovils Date won at Lingfield when last on the Flat back in 2017 and Jamacho finished in front of Star Of Athena when runner-up over 1m6f here last month but MOURIYANI (NAP) has the most scope. The latter escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race here last week and this extra distance looks likely to bring further progress.
