Verdict

Top-weight Astronaut was a useful prospect when with Willie Haggas but we'll swerve him today after such a long absence. Prince Prospect was controversially disqualified after posting a win over course and distance last time out. Failed to Hit (with whom he caused interference) has come out to score since and as the handicapper has not seen fit to raise Linda Stubbs gelding for that "win", we'll side with him on this occasion. King Priam looks a much more realistic proposition over further these days while Evezio Rufo appears a light of former years. Ali Can is not sure to stay this far although he should run better for the application of a visor. The front-running Occam has run off a marks in the low 30's on previous starts here and looks hard to fancy. Any support for In For The Craic would be interesting. His best form is arguably at Lingfield but this is his grade.
