      Verdict

      Big Luciano has been highly touted in certain sections of the racing media and with Mark Johnston sendng out a winner earlier in the week, we'll take our chances despite a raise of 4lb for a second at Southwell (Magenta Rising behind in third.) Our slight concern is that Trojan Spirit has not held up that form having been beaten at Lingfield and Southwell. Miss Champers rates as the biggest danger. She has posted two wins at the track and if she stays a mile, she cannot be written off. Platinum Charger took a maiden here in fine style and should have few problems in accounting for Magenta Rising. The remainder look hard to fancy.
