      LORD RIDDIFORD tends to save his best for Goodwood nowadays but has won at Listed level on the all-weather in past and a recent third at Newcastle points to a big run in this. Clearpoint scored at Kempton before beaten in a tougher sprint at the same track while Never Dark is not badly treated on an earlier success at Haydock. Nelson Gay is upped in class but Ancient Times is unexposed on the all-weather.
