Verdict

This is likely to be an exceptionally good race for Wolverhampton, and Always Flying may just be value against the likely short-priced debutant Romaric, and Times Review another with place claims. Romaric hails from the all-powerful David Loder stable, and on breeding he could be very smart, so with the stable's horses in such spectacular form he is not one to oppose lightly. However, in the belief that he will start at prohibitive odds it may just be worth taking a chance with Mark Johnston's Always Flying. The cheaply-bought colt showed good speed for a long way when finishing third on his debut at Carlisle and should strip a lot fitter with that under his belt. Tim Easterby's Times Review made his debut on a hot maiden at York, and although he finished last that day, still showed enough to suggest he can pick up an ordinary maiden.
